Construction recently started on the underside of the 94-year-old Memphis Avenue bridge.
The 108-foot-by-60-foot bridge has been on the radar of the Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works for a while with engineering on the $5.8 million project starting in 2016.
“The new structure is a single-span composite steel beam structure on full-height abutments located on an offset alignment to the south,” Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works Chief Deputy - Engineering Thomas P. Sotak said.
