2022 Aging In Place Grant

The City of Brooklyn wants to support seniors through a grant program by helping them invest in their homes so they can continue to live and age in place. That is why we are excited to offer the Aging In Place Grant for 2022. This was made possible through a $50,000 grant from the Cuyahoga County Community Development Supplemental Grant Program. We have partnered with Lowe’s to have the items needed professionally installed for those who are selected for the grant.

This grant is to provide seniors financial assistance to make modifications that include:

- Chair height toilet
- Tub to shower conversion kit
- Grab bars
- Adjustable showerhead
- Toilet seat riser
- Toilet safety rails
- Remote ceiling fan
- Stair handrails
- Exterior ramp
- Lever door handles

Financial assistance of up to $5,000 will be given for tub to shower conversion kit installation and up to $3,000 for other projects.
