The prosecutor handles all criminal matters that occur in the city. Criminal matters include misdemeanor and felony cases processed through the Brooklyn Mayor's Court and Parma Municipal Court and receiving a final disposition in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. The prosecutor, working with the police, is also responsible for assisting individuals with obtaining temporary protection orders in cases of domestic violence and other similar crimes.
