The Law Department, through the city prosecutor, prosecutes all criminal actions in the Brooklyn Mayor's Court and Parma Municipal Court. The prosecutor handles all criminal matters that occur in the city. Criminal matters include misdemeanor and felony cases processed through the Brooklyn Mayor's Court and Parma Municipal Court and receiving a final disposition in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. The prosecutor, working with the police, is also responsible for assisting individuals with obtaining temporary protection orders in cases of domestic violence and other similar crimes.

Felonies & Not Guilty Pleas
All felonies and not guilty pleas are held at Parma Municipal Court:
The court has no facilities to accommodate children. Courtroom activities are not appropriate for children. It is unwise and inappropriate to have your child with you in a courtroom when you are involved in a court proceeding.
Any child under the age of 12 who is present in the courthouse must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. If you are involved in a court case, whether as a party or a witness, make arrangements for child care ahead of time.
Bonds may be posted at the Brooklyn Police Department 24 hours a day by cash or credit card. You must appear in person to post a bond:
