NOTICE OF A VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF COUNCIL-AT-LARGE
Please be advised that due to the pending resignation of a member of Brooklyn City Council, effective December 31, 2013, there will be a vacancy in the unexpired term ending December 31, 2015. Per Article III, Section 2 of the Brooklyn City Charter, '…any person appointed to fill a vacancy on Council, shall have been for at least three (3) consecutive years immediately prior to his/her election, and during his/her term of office shall continue to be, a resident of the municipality and a qualified elector thereof. He/She shall not hold any other public office or position over which Council has control within the municipality, except as otherwise provided in this Charter or by ordinance…'
